With a guide

Bison walk

On a quarterly basis guided excursions are offered on weekend days to give the public the chance to see the bison in Kraansvlak. Led by an experienced ranger one goes looking for the bison and plenty of information is provided about the bison project, the dune area and all its inhabitants like konik horse, fallow deer, roe deer, fox and a variety of insects, birds and reptiles.

Photo safari

Besides Bison walks special photography excursions are offered regularly. Park ranger and nature photographer Ruud Maaskant has years of experience photographing the bison in Kraansvlak. These excursions are for small groups of up to 5 people.

On activity calendar (in Dutch) of the National Park Zuid-Kennemerland you can register for Bison walks and photo safaris. To make a request for a group excusion please take contact with our visitor center.

There is never a hundred percent guarantee that the bison will be spotted during an excusion -they roam in a hilly and over 300 hectares large area. But the guide will always do his / her best to find the animals with you.
