Last chance to walk the Bison Trail on March 2nd
The Bison Trail will be temporarily closed starting March 3rd. This is done to prevent disturbing the birds during the breeding season. As of September 1st, the trail will be reopened to the public. Meanwhile, you can still view the animals from the viewpoint near the lake. The bison are scrubbing themselves on trees because they are starting to moult. As the temperature rises, they will visit the lake more often.
Several group-excursions to the bison will take place the coming months. For more information visit the the website of the National Park Zuid-Kennemerland.
