Watching bison in winter

The Bison Trail has had a large number of visitors these past holidays. As last year, lots of visitors tried to catch a glimpse of the bison herd. The trail is open until March 1st, which leaves six more weeks to go for a lovely walk in bison territory before it is closed for the birds' breeding season.

In December and New Years day the herd was also spotted on the other side of the territory. They could be seen from the viewing point as they were standing on the bank of the lake. Be sure to keep an eye on the map which can be found on this website to find out when the animals are near. You could get a wonderful view of the herd.

There are several possibilities to attend one of the group excursions the following weeks on Thursdays and Fridays. See the news item from August. There are also a number of excursions on Saturdays for which there are still a couple of spaces left. For more information go to www.np-zuidkennemerland.nl.
