First bison calf of the year

The first bison calf of the year is spotted on May 7th! She was spotted during fieldwork. The little one and her mother are doing fine and already met up with the herd. The calf was probably born on Monday 6th and is still very small. The mother is very protective and caring. She is an experienced mother who raised two calves in Kraansvlak before.
