More space for European bison

Last week the territory of the bison and konik horses is enlarged. In addition to the earlier expansion in 2012 the territory is now expanded to the southwest (Wurmenveld). The herds now have a territory of 330 hectares at their disposal. The bison herd quickly noticed the addition to their territory and have been spotted exploring the area with the entire herd.

The expansion of the territory is not only good news for the bison and koniks. It also gives visitors a better chance to see the animals from the trail in the west of the terrain.

As usual the Bison Trail will be open from the first of September and the marked trail can be used by visitors.
