Bison trail open

From September 1st the bison trail reopened to public again. The herd is frequently seen from the yellow-marked trail. The European bison is part of the European Big Five. It's a unique opportunity to see the animals. The trail is closed during the bird breeding season.

About the Bison Trail
The Bison Trail is a walking route through the bison area marked with yellow capped poles. The footpath is about 3 kilometers in length and runs from Zandvoort to Bloemendaal aan Zee trough the western part of the Kraansvlak. Some parts consist of dune sand, therefore the path is less suitable for wheelchairs or strollers. Please make sure to keep a distance of at least 50 meters when you have a ‘meet and greet’ with the herd and don't forget to take your binoculars!

Have a look at the map and the guidelines.
